Standard Meeting Information

The speaker has been involved in failure mode analysis for more than 25 years and is an expert on moisture related problems. He is co-inventor of the weight method of gross leak testing specified in Mil-Std-883 and has published extensively on device reliability and the technical conflicts between hermeticity and package moisture requirements in the standard.
The various methods used to test sealed packages will be explained in detail, including underlying principles, sensitivities, effective range and appropriate application. Moisture intrusion rates and recommended leak rate limits will be presented.
