IMAPS - International Microelectronics And Packaging Society is a professional technical society.
Its mission is to advance and expand the use of microelectronics through the dissemination of
information and the promotion of the values of our technology. IMAPS provides the most
comprehensive technical information covering a broad portfolio of microelectronics
technologies including; multichip modules, thick and thin film circuits, advanced
ceramics, ball grid array, surface mount technology, wire bonding and advanced
packaging. IMAPS also covers activities involving materials, design, processing
techniques, equipment, fabrication, sales and marketing.

Founded in 1967, IMAPS has grown into an organization with more than 10,000 members and
supports over 50 chapters throughout the World. IMAPS represents all facets of the microelectronics industry; circuit designers and manufacturers, vendors and suppliers, practitioners and academics, C.E.O.'s and students.

The Annual Symposium on Microelectronics:
The IMAPS Symposium offers members a formidable technical program. It
includes over 120 technical sessions covering all microelectronics technologies
including: MCMs, ball grid array, surface mount technology, advanced ceramics, thick and thin film circuits, wire bonding, advanced packaging, and advanced materials. This event also features over 300 of the industries top companies exhibiting the latest technologies.
HD International
(Formerly The International Conference and Exhibition on High Density & System Packaging)
This new event, sponsored by IMAPS, HDI, EE Times and Miller Freeman, is the major forum for the gathering and distribution of technical information relating to the rapidly expanding multichip module industry. Over 1,500 people form around the world attended the last ICEMCM, taking in over 100 technical presentations.
The International Symposium on Advanced Packaging Materials:
This IMAPS Symposium is devoted to advances made in electronic packaging materials. Attendees are comprised of researchers, developers, producers, and users of materials for single and multichip packages, interconnections, substrates, microwave applications, optoelectronic packages, and display panels. 1997 begins the first year of exhibitions for this rapidly growing symposium.
The Wireless Communications Conference / Penton:
Our newest conference was started to address the rapidly growing interest in Wireless Communications. The conference will provide detailed insight into developments at the worlds leading companies working in wireless technologies. It will also
attempt to focus on roadmapping the future of wireless and prioritizing the technical needs of industry, academia, and government.
Professional Development Courses and Advanced Technology Workshops:
IMAPS's Professional Development Courses and Advanced Technology Workshops provide you with an aggressive professional development program. Instructed by leading practitioners in their respective fields, both Professional Development Courses and Advanced Technology Workshops address subject matter relating to the most recent research and manufacturing concepts and applications. Advanced Technology Workshop topics include: MCM-C, MCM-D and -L, MCM Test, Ball Grid Arrays, Optoelectronics, Flat Panel Displays, as well as Advanced Materials.
Subjects covered by Professional Development Courses include: Known Good Die, Ball Grid Arrays, Multichip Modules - The Fundamentals, Wirebond Yield and Reliability, and many others.
Local and Regional IMAPS Chapter Events:
Upon joining, you will become automatically affiliated with the IMAPS Chapter in your area.
